Chimney Inspections Performed By Certified Chimney Professionals

Not only is maintaining a clean chimney vital for the health of your chimney system, but also for your safety as putting off a cleaning increases the risk of a chimney fire or carbon monoxide leak. Simply put, an un-inspected and unswept chimney is dangerous, and it can also lead to costly repairs in the future if potential problems aren’t dealt with soon.

Types of Inspections We Offer

Level I Chimney Inspections

Level 1 inspections are the simplest and most basic chimney inspections. If you’ve been taking great care of your chimney system, keeping up with annual inspections, cleanings, and maintenance, and you haven’t made any changes to your system, a level 1 inspection may be all you need.

Level II Chimney Inspections

Level 2 chimney inspections include a video scan of the chimney flue (from top to bottom), an inspection of all readily accessible areas of the chimney (including crawl spaces and attics), and everything that’s included in a level I inspection. The use of video scanning equipment allows us to really see the interior of the chimney up close, and evaluate the liner, as well as all of the other chimney components.

Level 2 inspections are required when a property is changing hands, but they’re also required when:

  • You’ve had a chimney fire or system failure/malfunction
  • You’re relining your chimney
  • You’re changing appliances or fuel types
  • You’ve noticed problems with your chimney system
  • You’ve experienced a seismic event or severe weather event that may have damaged the chimney

See What Our Customers Are Saying!

Chim Chimney have been here for several years now. They clean our chimney every year, and if there’s any other maintenance that needs to be done, I have them do that as well. They installed a chimney liner a few years ago. I’d give them an A. I’m perfectly satisfied. I like that they do the job. They show up when they say they’re going to show up. They charge me what they say they’re going to charge me, and the work seems to be, as far as I can tell, perfectly good quality. I use them every year, and I would recommend them to anybody.

We had Chim Chimney come do an inspection on our fireplace chimney, expecting to need a new damper to increase the drafting capabilities. The technician came out, inspected our chimney and explained in great detail where our draft issues were coming from. We ended up not needing a new damper and were so relieved to find a company that wasn’t interested in selling services we didn’t need. We will gladly use them again!
